Urban regeneration

The Scottish Centre for Regeneration
The Scottish Centre for Regeneration works with people involved in community regeneration to help them:

Identify what works in community regeneration and support them to put this into practice
Introduce new approaches to help regenerate communities
Identify the skills required for effective regeneration and provide opportunities to obtain these skills

Some examples of the type of support the SCR provides include:

'How to..' guides on partnership working, community engagement and regeneration outcomes.
Case studies of regeneration projects from across Scotland and the lessons learned from them
Events that help to share expertise and effective practice amongst regeneration practitioners
Learning points that share the lessons learned from regeneration programmes, research and evaluation
Helping organisations to improve their performance and supporting continuous improvement through'Promoting excellence in Scotland's communities'
Supporting communities to experience and test new ways of working through the New Ideas Fund
Helping people to identify and meet their learning needs through our 'Creating a learning landscape: A skills framework for community regeneration', ' Learning in Regeneration Skills Pack', ' Leadership development programme' and ' Mentoring in Regeneration' programmes
Bringing people involved in regeneration together through the Partners in Regeneration network.
