Partners - KMOP (Family and Childcare Center)
KMOP is a non-profit, social NGO with humanitarian values, believing in every individual potential to enrich society. It aims to empower vulnerable groups thoroughly professionally supported integrated social services, local development of underprivileged areas, and the building of employability skills. KMOP is also engaged in consultation and exchange of info with official government bodies on issues of common interest relating to economic and social policy, including recognition of fundamental rights. The organisation has also positioned itself as a key player in the implementation of projects that have provided entrepreneurial opportunities to persons in difficult situations, in particular unemployed women.
Mainstreaming gender equality has long been one of the main goals of KMOP activities. It has participated in a number of European Projects pertaining to gender issues, many of which promote changes in gender roles as a means to achieve a better reconciliation of family and professional life. By raising awareness and sensitizing large parts of the population, KMOP has made substantial contributions in the national arena on the promotion of greater equality among the sexes.
